| This tour takes you to visit
Coco Beach situated at the mouth of the Nerul River on the Mandovi
Estuary, famous Aguada Fort, Calangute Beach and Church of Mae
De Deus at Saligao. Next comes the exquisite Mayem Lake which
nestles sparkling silver among low forested hills. The tour
halts for lunch here. Then tour covers Corjuem Fort, Aldona
Cable Bridge, Panaji Hadicraft Emporiu. |

Situated at the mouth of the Nerul River on the Mandovi Estuary.
It offers magnificent view of the open ocean on one side and
the Reis Magos fort on the other side. Long dense shadows of
coconut trees are providing a beautiful look to the beach. Water
sports and boating trips are organized here. |
| :: FORT AGUADA

| The fort was one of the
most important places in Goa and the most crucial of all forts
in Goa. Today it is being used as a jail. It was built by the
Portuguese government in 1612 in order to protect Old Goa from
enemy attacks. A spring within the fort supplied water to all
the ships that called there. |
| :: CALANGUTE BEACH : |

It is also known as Queen of Beaches which is a hippy haven;
they discovered this beach in the late 60s. As the hippies faded
from the forefront, domestic tourists recognized the potential
of the pleasures offered by Calangute and turned it into a paddling,
snacking, shopping, picnicking, vacationing beach. |
| :: CHURCH OF MAE DE DEUS AT SALIGAO

| This church
is a fine example of gothic architecture. It is located amidst
picturesque surroundings at Saligao in Bardez taluka in North
Goa.It enshrines the statue of Mae de Deus the literal translation
of which is Mother of God. The statue was transferred to Saligao
church from the convent at Old Goa. |

Located amidst rolling hills and surrounded by countryside,
a popular tourist destination which exudes a charming freshness
in contrast to the Goan beaches and ideal for boating. |
| :: CORJUEM FORT

Situated at a distance of 4 kilometers from the village of Aldona
on the Island of Corjuem is the Corjuem fort. It was constructed
in the year 1551. The fort gives a good view of the surrounding
river and land. It was more like a solitary outpost. It has
a well in the middle of the fort area and also has an altar
built inside the fort |

The view of this bridge is a splendid site. This was the first
of its kind Cable Stayed Bridge in Goa that connects Aldona
and the Corjuem Villages. It was built by the State Infrastructure
Development Corporation of Goa. This new bridge completed in
the year 2004 is quite unique and the first of its kind in Goa.
It spans the river between Aldona and Corjuem in Bardez Taluka. |
| :: POMBURPA SPRING : |

This spring happens to be one of the famous springs in Goa.
Many locals as well as foreign tourists come here for a bath
as the spring waters is said to be medicinal. The place has
been built up now with cement and stones. Two water pipes are
fitted in through with the spring water flows and make it more
convenient to have a bath. |
| :: RIVER CRUISE : |

This cruise is generally included in the North Goa Tours arranged
by the GTDC. This is an hour long cruise on the Santa Monica
which takes guests out on a leisurely sail down the River Mandovi
from the Santa Monica jetty in Panaji

and only at beaches manned by life guards.
- Drinking and swimming is more dangerous than drinking
